Henning Larsen is an international design studio working across architecture, landscape architecture, interiors, and urban design. Founded in Copenhagen in 1959 by Danish architect Henning Larsen, the practice has grown into a global design community with studios across Europe, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, and North America, while keeping the Nordic values that shaped it: openness, collaboration, and a belief that design should improve everyday life. The studio’s work spans cultural landmarks, campuses and learning environments, workplaces, housing, mixed-use developments, and large-scale masterplans. Projects such as Harpa Concert Hall in Reykjavík and Moesgaard Museum in Aarhus reflect a long-standing commitment to architecture that is generous to its users and rooted in its context. Henning Larsen’s approach is evidence-based. In-house specialists in daylight, microclimate, materials, and life-cycle performance inform design from the earliest stages, so sustainability is built into the concept rather than added later. As part of Ramboll, a Ramboll Foundation–owned engineering, architecture, and consultancy group, the studio draws on integrated engineering, environmental, and planning expertise, giving clients a single partner from early vision through delivery. Across every scale, the goal is the same: to create buildings and places that are socially vibrant, environmentally responsible, and built to last.
